Summer Enrichment 2026
Welcome all budding historians to CPL’s 2026 Summer Enrichment: Readers of the Hidden Histories!
In addition to dinosaurs, paleontology, and archaeology, this theme also invites us to uncover hidden histories and explore the past. Every person and every community has stories waiting to be found and shared – through books, programs, and local knowledge. And we want to help you find them!
Registration for Summer Enrichment starts on Tuesday, June 23rd and runs through Friday, August 7. Participants of all ages are welcome to visit the front desk at the library to register for all of the fun, food, programs, prizes, and more that this summer promises. In exchange you’ll receive your very own exclusive summer packet, complete with reading lists, your trust field log book, and an explanation of this year’s extraordinary town-wide scavenger hunt!
Library summer programming ends on August 7, but participants have until August 21 to complete any & all activities and bring their field logs back in exchange for level prizes.
There are over 60 activities to choose from, each worth one point. You can do as much as you want, but only 50 are required to complete all ten levels. Every five points is a level completed and a prize earned. You can bring your book to the front desk for a prize every time you reach a new level or wait until you’ve earned more.
We know many of you may be traveling this summer, but you can still do a lot
from anywhere. And if you miss an event, like one of our movie screenings, you can watch the movie at home and it still counts!
WHAT’S NEW IN 2026
Grand prizes will be raffled off at the end of summer, and this year you’ll be given raffle tickets to choose what you’d like a chance to win.
Here’s how it works:
- At registration, you get five tickets
- Complete levels 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9, you get one more raffle ticket for each
- Make it to level 10? YOU GET FIVE MORE TICKETS!
