“Richard is a Cranbury resident and enthusiastic amateur historian who has been leading historical walking tours in Cranbury and Princeton for many years. He has also given a number of historical talks including “New Jersey and the Revolutionary War” and has also portrayed the Marquis de Lafayette and General Sir Henry Clinton at the bi-annual Wassail evenings in Cranbury.
His talk will focus on Hamilton’s upbringing in the Caribbean on Nevis and St Croix, his schooling in New Jersey and New York, his involvement in many of the Revolutionary War campaigns in New Jersey and at the culminating Battle of Yorktown in Virginia. He will also list Hamilton’s many achievements and will end with his dueling death on Weehawken Heights with Aaron Burr.”
